Brother Hershel Lawhorn is a true man of God who loves people, the ministry, and works diligently to see that all find the desires of their heart in Jesus. He has been preaching for 17+ years working in the prison system as well as evangelizing. He is the senior pastor here at Thomas Ridge Church. He is married to Joan Marple Lawhorn. They have one daughter Lee Ann Ross, a son-in-law David, and has been blessed with two gifts from heaven by the names of Cash John David and Henry John David Ross, their grandsons.
